VISA INFORMATION
Nationals of the following countries can enter Turkey with a valid passport; a visa is not required
A) Up to 3 Months
Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Granada, Greece, Iceland, Iran, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Monaco, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Qatar, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, St. Lucia, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad-Tobago, Tunisia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Vatican City, United Arab Emirates, and Uruguay.
B) Up to 2 Months
Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Republic of Croatia, Indonesia, Macedonia, Romania, and the Republic of Slovenia.
C) Up to 1 Month
Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, the Maldives, and the Republic of South Africa.
* For the countries mentioned above and Bulgaria, a transit visa is not required, but a transit fee is paid.
Nationals of the following countries require a visa.
A) Up to 3 Months
Nationals of Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Holland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.A., can obtain a multiple-entry sticker visa at border gates (renewable, except for Hong Kong).
B) Up to 1 Month
Nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Tadzhikistan, Taiwan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, White Russia, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, can obtain a sticker visa at border gates
C)Up to 15 Days
Nationals of Albania, Georgia, Guatemala, and Sri Lanka can obtain a visa at border gates. Nationals of Sri Lanka must also acquire a letter of recommendation from the honorary Turkish consul in Colombo.
D) Nationals of all other countries require a visa, which can be obtained from the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate.
Note: Citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Russian Federation, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and White Russia may also use their Turkish visa sticker in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC).
Citizens of Germany, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Malta, Switzerland, and Greece may enter Turkey, and bring their vehicles as well, with the proper identity cards in lieu of a passport.
Information on Education / Work Visa
Education or Work Visa applications should be made through the Turkish Consular Offices at least six weeks in advance.
All properly completed applications are processed as soon as possible and forwarded to Turkey to be reviewed. The Consular Offices will inform the applicant of the outcome of the application.
Applicants should submit their applications prior to departing for Turkey and have their appropriate visa issued in their passports. Applicants who enter Turkey without this visa are not allowed to study or work. Education or Work visa applications can not be submitted in Turkey.
Within 15 days upon arrival, all applicants must apply to the local security office (Il Emniyet Mudurlugu) to be issued a residence permit card (ikamet tezkeresi)
Documents required for Education Visa Application:
1. Copy of the first page of the passport (if this passport number is not shown on this page, please also add the copy of the page showing your passport number)
2. A completed visa application form
3. One passport size photograph (taken from the front)
4. Letter of acceptance from the school or academic institution in Turkey.
Documents required for Work Visa Application:
1. Copy of the first page of the passport (if this passport number is not shown on this page, please also add the copy of the page showing your passport number)
2. A completed visa application form
3. Your contract with the employer
4. One passport size photograph (taken from the front)
5. Work permit letter issued by the Undersecretariat of Treasury, General Directorate of Foreign Capital
If your spouse and/or your children will be accompanying you, their applications have to be submitted at the same time as the principal applicant's application. For each dependent's applications, please enclose items 1, 2 and 3.

Visa Fee: You will need to submit the visa fee and your original passport after the Consular Office informs you of the outcome of your application.
